Girls' Golf Pat Ford Invitational @ Beechwood GC in La Porte LC--2nd Place (334) ***Full Results PDF attached The Indians took part in the long-running Pat Ford Invitational on Friday. LC finished in 2nd place in the 22-team field. The Indians fired a 334, falling by just 12 strokes to Northridge (322). Allie Huppenthal just missed out on the Orange Jacket for medalist, as she finished 2nd overall with a 75. Piper Urbanski (84) and Maya Parks (86) had dynamite showings for the Lady Indians. Victoria Schilling shot an 89 and Alex Schilling shot a 91. LC's Ryder Cup Challenge at Valparaiso was canceled on Saturday. They'll host the IHSAA Sectional on Monday 9/22 at Palmira GC. Girls' Cross Country @ Brown County Eagle Classic LC--4th Place **Full Results: https://timingmd.com/Results/xc/Eagle_9_13_25/girlseteam.htm Lake Central traveled South to the Brown County Eagle Classic on Saturday in Nashville, IN. This was a loaded field and the Indians participated in the Elite Team Division, which featured 15 of the best in Indiana. The Indians finished in 4th as a team behind Carmel (1st), Bloomington South (2nd), and Zionsville (3rd). Macey Thompson had a great performance finishing in 3rd overall (17:31), just 3 seconds behind 1st and 2nd place (17:28). Chloe Neal finished in 14th position and Lana Bruggeman was 15th overall. Aubrey Neal finished in 35th and Katelyn Smith was 66th to round out LC's team total of 133. LC travels to New Prairie this weekend. The JV girls and boys' JV/V races at Lowell were canceled because of inclement weather. JV/V Girls' Soccer @ Warsaw V--LC 3 Warsaw 1 The Lady Indians battled through a tough matchup on the road at Warsaw and came away with a 3-1 victory. Goals: Ella Crowley, Lexi Karabatsos, Allison Yott Assists: Phoebe Fogarty (2) Saves: Olivia Kleckner (5) A total team effort helped secure the win, with strong play on both ends of the field. The girls are now 8-1 overall and will travel to La Porte tomorrow. JV/V Boys' Soccer @ Elkhart JV--LC 0 Elkhart 3 V--LC 0 Elkhart 7 The junior varsity and varsity teams both dropped contests at Elkhart on Saturday. The JV is now 2-4-1 overall and the V falls to 7-2 overall. They'll host Munster tonight in non-conference action and La Porte on Wednesday to try to stay atop the DAC. The Indians are back in action at home tonight against Munster. Varsity Tennis @ Concord Invitational LC 5 Plymouth 0 LC 0 Penn 5 At Concord, Lake Central was dominant in their opening match against Plymouth, playing some of their best tennis on the season. They then fell to a talented Penn team in their second match of the day. The 3rd match-up was rained out. The varsity team moved to 2-2 overall and 1-1 in the DAC with the loss to rival Crown Point. The Indians will look to get back on track on Friday at La Porte.
